What Are Main Features of the Homescapes Game?
Some of the best features about this game include the following:
Homescapes is all about renovating the rooms of your house. You get to choose which room you want to start with, and then you complete tasks that will eventually help you restore it.
One thing I really like about this game is how easy it is for me to play on my phone while doing other things at the same time such as cooking or watching TV. The game also has a lot of interesting characters who are there to help guide you along in your renovations.
Create an interior design of your choice:
You can create an interior design of your choice in Homescapes by customizing the furniture, wallpaper and flooring. You can also choose from a list of room types to create different kinds of homes for Austin’s clients. There are many features in the game that you can use to help Austin complete his renovation projects. Create a design of your choice for each room and alter it later, if needed.
You may also have some quests from Austin’s clients when their house is being renovated which includes tasks such as searching for specific items or earning extra coins. You will need these special items to add them in the rooms so make sure they are found before decorating starts.
Create beautiful gardens outside each home:
You are not limited to creating interiors only as you can also create beautiful outdoor landscapes like pools, ponds or terraces which will complement the look inside every house that you decorate. Create parks with picnic benches where kids could play or romantic spots perfect for date nights.
There is plenty to do in this game so take it one project at a time. The gardens you create outside will be visible from inside so it is important to choose a theme and stick with it.
Create your own design for every room of the house:
The developers have made sure that you can really let your creativity flow in this game, as there are no limitations when designing rooms. There are over 200 items to use including accessories like rugs, wallpapers or furniture pieces which are all categorized according to style (rustic/modern etc.).
You do not need any decorating skills either because they give you tips on how things should look if you get stuck. Decorate kitchens with shiny new appliances, bathrooms with fancy bathtubs or bedrooms with cozy bedding; whatever suites your taste.
Meet characters who live in town:
The game has a lot of characters that you will meet as the game progresses. Meet cute and quirky characters such as Austin, your butler; Stella, a snobby yet nice lady who owns many shops in town; Eva, an old woman who is very mysterious and loves gossiping with others; Ryan or “Mr Fix-It” – he fixes everyone’s stuff for free.
There are more interesting people to discover throughout the journey of this amazing match-three puzzle adventure mobile game. You can also play missions where you have to help them out on their problems by matching some objects together which they need done.
You get a fluffy cat for a pet:
There is a cat in Homescapes that you can acquire as a pet. You have to take care of it and keep it happy by feeding, grooming and playing with it. You can even decorate its room.
The cat is present in the game from the beginning but only shows up after a few levels are completed. You don’t need to pay anything or download any apps for this feature – just play through the story mode until your new family member makes an appearance. In case you wish to skip ahead though, there is nothing stopping you from buying some coins on the game’s site so that you do not have wait too long before adding this cute little thing into your home.
Collaborate with Facebook friends:
The game also allows you to collaborate with your Facebook friends. Collaborating will get you more energy, lives or coins. Collaborating is done by posting on their newsfeed and asking for help in the game itself.
Some of the weaknesses of this game include the following:
- The game can easily run out of coins, particularly when you are getting up to higher levels of the house. In addition, this can make it difficult for players who run out of coins before they can get new ones from Facebook friends or through watching ads.
- The story develops slowly and can be quite boring at times which can cause a player’s interest in a game to wane quickly if no other elements keep him engaged such as good graphics, engaging characters etc.
These weaknesses, however, aren’t so bad that they discourage you from playing the game.
Some alternatives to the Homescapes game you can try out include the following:
The first alternative to Homescapes is Gardenscapes. Gardenscapes is a very similar game to Homescapes and the idea is that you need to make your garden look as nice as possible. Gardenscapes involves playing puzzles, matching different shapes and colors in order to achieve goals such as getting rid of dead bushes or planting new flowers.
Like Homescapes, Gardenscapes also has a storyline to it. Gardenscapes is the story of Austin, who returns home from military service only to find out that his mother’s garden looks very different than he remembers and needs some serious work done on it if they want it looking beautiful again.
2. Diamond Dash:
Another alternative that you can try out if you like Gardenscapes and Homescapes is Diamond Dash. The game follows a slightly different format but still features match three gameplay where players have to match diamonds together so they destroy other objects on screen such as bricks or even those pesky spiders. The aim of Diamond Dash is basically the same though; it’s all about making your home beautiful by matching up items correctly.
Diamond Dash also features power ups that can be activated by simply matching up certain combinations of objects. Diamond Dash also features quests which you need to complete in order to progress further through the game and these are shown at the bottom left-hand side of your screen. Diamond Dash may lack some of the more complex elements found within Homescapes but it’s still a fun game especially if you like mobile puzzle games.
3. My Story – Mansion Makeover:
With My Story – Mansion Makeover, My Homescapes is now My Story – Mansion Makeover. They’ve changed the name, but it’s still your favorite game. The game has many great features including hundreds of new levels to play and enjoy with friends & family, play with unique boosters: bombs, paint buckets, planks and more, build your dream mansion – room by room – in this brand new story mode, complete My Story levels to play in different rooms of the house, exciting new quests and characters with unique stories and many others.
Play anytime, anywhere on your phone or tablet. My Story – Mansion Makeover is completely free to play but some optional in-game items will require payment. You can turn off the payment feature by disabling in-app purchases through your device’s settings.
4. Manor Matters:
Manor Matters is another wonderful game, which you can play on your PC. It is similar to Homescapes but there are some unique features that Manor Matters has that makes it stand out from the rest of the puzzle games available in Windows store.
Manor Matters has all new stages and levels compared to Homescapes, so if you like playing something different then Manor Matters should be right choice for you. Manor Matters also offers more than 80 rooms inside the manor where the player needs to complete given tasks within time limit or else he will lose lives. With limited number of moves or life, players need to think carefully before making next move. Manor Matters is much more challenging than Homescapes because of these unique features.
5. Lily’s Garden:
Another great game is Lily’s Garden, a puzzle game that places Lily in the role of a gardener. Lily is tasked with restoring her Grandpa’s garden to its former glory by planting flower seeds and caring for flowers as they grow from seedlings into fully mature blooms. This is accomplished through puzzles where Lily solves different challenges on each level such as rotating circles so the color matches the goal or swapping tiles so there are no mismatched colors between neighboring tiles.
With Lily’s Garden, players can earn up to three stars on each level depending on their score. There are a total of 80 levels, 20 in the first section and 60 more in Lily’s Garden: Winter Version which is unlocked upon completing Lily’s Garden for the first time. Lily’s Garden has been described as “fun” by users with an overall rating of four out of five stars from over 400 reviews on Google Play Store. Players who enjoy this game may also like Homescapes Alternative.
Homescapes is easy enough to play and exciting for all types of players, but also has many features that can be difficult to find in other games. One easy way to see if the game is right for you would be checking out a free version online or getting it on your phone as an app.
With this game, I’ve found the best way to play is by getting past all of the easy levels and working my way up. Homescapes starts off easy enough for anyone, but as you get higher there are challenges that require more strategy and time spent on each level before advancing onto a new one. I highly recommend Homescapes as one of my favorite games.
